Capitol Tours:

The best way to experience the Wisconsin's Capitol building is to see it for yourself.  Located at 2 East Main Street, Madison, WI 53702, the Capitol is open to the public weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and weekends and holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.   

Daily Tours 

Free tours are offered daily and year round*. Tour groups gather at the information desk Monday through Saturday at 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 a.m. and 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 p.m.; and Sundays at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 p.m. A 4:00 p.m. tour is offered weekdays (Monday - Friday), excluding holidays, during Memorial Day through Labor Day. Plan on spending 45-55 minutes for a tour.  Groups of ten or more can make an on-line reservation for a tour of the State Capitol or call (608)266-0382. If you're ever here for a visit, please stop by my office at 109N!   

*Except on New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.​

School Groups

If your class is scheduling a visit to the Capitol, you can contact me to arrange a meeting and a group photo.  I also can provide free copies of "How a Bill Becomes a Law".​​

The prices are as follows, per each flag:
Nylon U.S. flag 3’ x 5’ - $9.50
Nylon Wisconsin flag 3’ x 5’ - $13.50

 

Simply send your check to my Capitol office (Rep. Gordon Hintz, State Capitol, P.O. Box 8952, Madison, WI 53708) payable to the Assembly Chief Clerk.  Please make sure to indicate how many of each type of flag you would like and your mailing address.  If you would like the flag flown over the Capitol at no extra charge, please let me know.  You will receive a certificate along with the flag.

 

We have Blue Books and State of Wisconsin Highway Maps available for constituents. Please email or call me  and let me know which you prefer along with an address that I should deliver them to.
