Great Sauk State Trail Event

IMG_1727.jpgBack in 1966, a young man named Tommy Thompson was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly. That district included a large part of the present day 50th Assembly District and includes the beloved city of Elroy! I had the pleasure of spending some time with Governor Thompson on Saturday at The Great Sauk State Trail. For over 50 years, Tommy has been a visionary and strong advocate for Rails-to-Trails. The 400 State Trail and the Elroy-Sparta State Trail was part of that vision. Even though he had knee replacement surgery two weeks ago, it could not stop his passion and excitement to continue building Rails-to-Trails across our great state.

2020 U.S. Census

The 2020 U.S. Census is drawing ever closer. The U.S. Census Bureau needs to hire about 500,000 census takers across the country in 2020. To meet this goal, they are starting peak recruiting efforts now. This week, the Census Bureau is hosting recruiting informational sessions across the country to answer questions about census jobs and the hiring process. To find out more info about becoming a census taker click on this link. To find out more info on what the census will be about, click on this link.
