Yesterday marked 3 weeks since the WI Supreme Court struck down Gov. Evers’ Safer at Home Order and businesses began to reopen. Since that day, the daily % of positive tests around the state has continued to drop. This reality is far from the doomsday predictions Evers was predicting.
Just so we're all on the same page, this is not peacefully protesting. This is not being the change we wish to see. This is not uniting our communities of good conscience.
Today, several of my colleagues joined me in asking the governor to protect the "People's House" and its monuments from the daily damage occurring to our State Capitol. The citizens of Wisconsin should not have to bear the daily professional clean up required because of a small, out-of-control group who is taking advantage of peaceful protests.
