ADOPTION BILLS MOVE FORWARD IN SENATE

This week, the Senate Committee on Universities, Technical Colleges, Children and Families heard five (5) of the adoption bills drafted by the Speaker's Task Force on Adoption.

Rep. Dittrich and Sen. Darling testifying before the Senate committee on Senate Bill 531, Senate Bill 532, Senate Bill 533, Senate Bill 534, and Senate Bill 548.

This afternoon, the Assembly released amendments on 7 of the 8 bills. It is hopeful the Assembly Committee on Family Law will schedule these bills for a committee vote soon!

CONSTITUENT CORNER

Rep. Dittrich was honored to present Marshall resident, Ava Ruechel (daughter of Village Administrator Adam Ruechel) with a citation celebrating her service this summer to raise funds for stuffed animals to comfort kids in the ER. The Police Chief shared that Ava's work has also provided local first responders with stuffed animals to comfort kids in traumatic situations.
