Rep. Dittrich is continuing to engage with constituents, even though she cannot be in her Madison office at this time.
Answering constituent questions via e-mail and telephone, combing through federal legislation as well as state proposals, and problem-solving for those who have lost jobs or had businesses shuttered by the governor’s order are all the things keeping the representative very busy these days.
If you have questions or concerns amidst this crisis, we want to be responsive to your needs. Please do not hesitate to contact the office via e-mail or by phone at 608-266-8551 as both Meagan and Rep. Dittrich continue to work remotely.
Please continue to stay safe!
ABSENTEE BALLOT EXTENSION
Originally, all absentee ballot requests had to be made by Thursday, April 2nd at 5:00PM for the April 7th election.
However, at the writing of this e-update, a federal judge has extended that deadline to today, April 3rd at 5:00PM. Additionally, ballots will be counted if they arrive at your respective clerk's office by Monday, April 13th.
There are 2 ways you can request an absentee ballot at this time. You can:
Go online to request an absentee ballot at myvote.wi.gov. This is the easiest method. All you need is a photo of your ID to complete the request.
Request an absentee ballot by emailing or faxing your local clerk.
Please note that in order to request an absentee ballot, voters must already be registered. As a reminder, the deadline for online registration has passed – to register, voters will need to contact your local municipal clerk. You can use this form to find your local clerk’s contact information.
In person voting will be at the St. Paul Liberty Lutheran Educational Center, 3494 Oak Park Rd. from 7:00 A.M.-8:00 P.M.

CLINICAL TRIAL SITE OPENS IN MADISON
The University of Wisconsin-Madison this past weekend joined the National COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma Project, which has a website and intends to launch clinical trials as soon as it receives approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The group is also collaborating with the American Red Cross, blood banks, Amazon and Federal Express.
The National COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma Project involves taking the plasma from those who have recovered from COVID-19 to bolster those who are ill with the antibodies they need to combat the virus.
Refinement of the vaccine and its testing at UW is expected to take three to six months.
