Legislative Update
It is a busy time in the Capitol! Here is an update on a handful of bills that have received either public hearings or executive sessions in their respective legislative committees this week.
AB 644:Relating to: creating a school-based mental health consultation pilot program and making an appropriation.
AB 654:Relating to: expanding telehealth mental health treatment to offenders under community supervision.
AB 564:Relating to: eligibility for adoption assistance.
AB 643:Relating to: qualified residential treatment programs, providing an exemption from rule-making procedures, and granting rule-making authority.
SB 496:Relating to: requiring that student identification cards include contact information for suicide prevention hotlines.
St. Germain Proposes Second Amendment Sanctuary Resolution
St. Germain is considering a local resolution that would see it become a Second Amendment Sanctuary Township. The proposal follows the recent decision by Florence County to become Wisconsin's first Second Amendment Sanctuary.
