The Capitol Christmas tree is standing tall in the Capitol Rotunda. The 30 foot tall tree hails from Medford, Wisconsin and is lit up by over 2,000 LED light bulbs. Students from across the state decorated the tree with hand-made ornaments to fit this year’s theme: Celebrate Science! This is the 103rd year that a Christmas tree has been placed inside the Capitol. If you find yourself in Madison during the holiday season, make sure to come check out this great tradition!

Rep. Swearingen Meets with Rhinelander High School Students
This week I had the opportunity to meet with Lee Henderson, Michael Kuczkowski and David King, a group of Rhinelander High School students, who as part of their AP Government class, interviewed me about the role of a State Representative. I was extremely impressed by their understanding of our system of government and the legislative process. I always welcome the opportunity to give back to my alma mater, and I wish these students all the best in their class and future endeavors!
