Leveling the Playing Field for Consumers

Exciting news: my variable-rate loans bill (Assembly Bill 24) passed this week in the Financial Institutions Committee and will head to the Assembly Floor soon for a final vote!

The measure will help level the playing field for middle-class consumers in the home loan market.  I'm very encouraged by the bipartisan support I have received on this first bill for which I was the lead author.

Thanks for having me!

Last week, I spent a morning touring the Oostburg School District with Senator Devin LeMahieu (right) and District Superintendent Kevin Bruggink (left).  I really appreciated visiting with some teachers and learning about the district's latest programming for students.  But my favorite part was meeting these future voters!
