Happy 4th of July!

I hope everyone enjoys their upcoming Fourth of July holiday! Whether you are on the boat, enjoying a parade or watching a fireworks show, please remember to be safe and have fun celebrating our country's birthday.

If you are looking to get out of the house for the Fourth of July, the City of Sheboygan Freedom Fest is a great community event with food and music that ends in a wonderful display of fireworks.

Summer Fun in Wisconsin!

I cannot think of anything better than summertime in Wisconsin. Our state's weather, natural resources, and welcoming people make the summertime prime tourism season. In fact, total tourism activity reached $21.6 billion in Wisconsin in 2018, largely thanks to summer activities.

Below are a list of activities that can get the entire family outside and explore not only the Sheboygan area, but the entire state!

• Go fishing in one of Wisconsin's beautiful lakes
• Visit a state park, including Kohler-Andrae right in our backyard
• Grab your binoculars and go bird-watching
• Reserve a campsite to spend the night under the stars
• Go hiking on the miles and miles of trails throughout the state, including the famous Ice Age trail
• Visit the beaches of Lake Michigan
• Enjoy the various festivals throughout the state, including Holland Festival in Cedar Grove

As you can see there is no shortage of activities to keep the whole family busy before the kids have to go back to school. The sunshine and warm weather only last so long in Wisconsin, so soak up as much as you can.
