 Hello,

This week, I hope you will join me in coming out for the Calumet County Fair. The Calumet County Fair is always a great time and is the perfect way to spend a beautiful Labor Day weekend.

I will be hosting several listening sessions at the fair this year. They will be on Friday, August 30th from 3 PM to 5 PM, and on Monday, September 2nd, from 10 AM to 12 PM, held at the Calumet County Republican Booth.

Earlier this week, I visited the Soaring Eagle Dairy Farm in Newton. Thank you to the Fitzgerald family and to the Wisconsin Counties Association for putting this together. Everyone on the tour learned a lot about what these farmers do and how they're work impacts our daily lives.

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

  • The Hunt Wild Wisconsin mobile app is back for 2019 with everything Wisconsin hunters need in the field.  The app shows property boundaries and shooting hours and, new this year, hunters can find chronic wasting disease sampling stations and deer carcass disposal locations.
  • The public will have an opportunity to learn more about and comment on two proposed administrative rules concerning the assessment of overall health of Wisconsin lakes and streams at a joint public hearing on Sept. 12 in Madison and Green Bay.
  • With the start of the 2019 deer hunting season just around the corner, the Department of Natural Resources is kicking off its 11th annual Deer Hunter Wildlife Survey.  The easy-to-use survey is a way for hunters to record their observations of deer and other wildlife while out hunting.  Survey results help track abundance trends for Wisconsin's deer herd and other wildlife.
