Catch me in WBAY-2's article about addressing Mental Health needs!
|
Hello,
Recently, I was interviewed by WBAY-2 about some of the pieces of legislation that I have introduced to help those with mental health issues. One of the bills that I talk about in particular will help mental health support groups, like Painting Pathways in Manitowoc, receive matching funds up to $50,000. Assembly Republican Representatives call for Veto Override on Mental Health Care Initiatives
|
In Wisconsin, over 1.45 million people are dealing with a mental or behavioral health issue, and only 20% of those who seek mental health treatment from public providers seek care.
As chair of the mental health committee, I'm doing whatever I can to help those in Wisconsin with mental health needs. Some of my colleagues in the legislature and I are concerned that the Governor vetoed several provisions in the budget that would expand mental health care access to Wisconsin residents. Click here to read the press release we released highlighting our concerns.
Sincerely,
Representative Paul Tittl
