Testifying for my Agricultural Lemon Law Bill

IMG_20200116_105716(resize).jpg

 Hello,

My lemon law bill covering implements of husbandry for Wisconsin farmers was heard this week in the Assembly Committee on Consumer Protection. Under this bill, if a farmer has a repeating defect with their implement of husbandry, they can send it back to the manufacturer for it to be fixed. If it can't be fixed, the manufacturer sends them a check for a full refund.

The bill now needs to be voted on out of committee, where it will then be sent to the Assembly floor to be voted on.

Read more details about AB 631 here.

IMG_20200116_110932(resize).jpgMy friend Tom Freis, a farmer from Newton, made the trip down to also testify. He has helped me out a lot to get this bill to this stage in the legislative process. Thank you for the help! You did a great job testifying!

Meeting with Leaders from our local Credit Unions

This week several leaders from local credit unions visited me at the Capitol. We discussed several pieces of legislation that can help credit unions better serve their communities. We had to take the picture outside of my office because of how many people there were. Thank you for visiting!

Discussing Legislative Priorities with Wisconsin Farmers
