Hello,
Nothing reminds us Wisconsinites of why we live in this beautiful state more than a snowstorm and wind chills bringing temperatures below -50 degrees all within one week! In response to the polar vortex, Governor Evers declared a State of Emergency. State agencies and the Assembly were closed on Wednesday, and it seemed like the state was at a standstill waiting for the temperatures to rise.
I hope you and your loved ones were safe and warm this week. I would also like to mention how grateful I am for first responders, medical professionals, and city workers who braved the extreme and dangerous weather to keep our communities functioning.
It looks like we will get a break from the arctic chill with temperatures set to rise into the 30s and low 40s this weekend. The higher temperatures could cause a significant amount of melting snow and some flooding. If you find storm sewer inlets near you are covered in snow and ice, you could assist our hardworking road crews by uncovering them so the water has a place to go. Stay safe out there!
As always, if there is anything I can do to assist you, please contact me. You can share your thoughts, find out additional information on issues, or see where I stand on any legislation. I look forward to hearing from you and, as always, working for you.
Sincerely,
Representative Paul Tittl
