Announcing Budget Hearings!

We're interrupting our normal schedule of E-updates to give you all some special information and updates about the Budget process. As a new member of the Joint Finance Committee (JFC), I'm excited to start taking next steps in advocating for and supporting the comprehensive proposals that the Governor has put forward. Part of this process will fall on you: the people of Wisconsin who will be affected by this budget. Therefore, I'm including information about ways for you to become engaged, whether it be giving public comment at a hearing, commenting on social media, or sending thoughts through the JFC website, your voice is valued and essential. Here I am representing the 18th district and the state in the Joint Finance Committee, hearing from Agency Secretaries about the budget.

Public Hearing Dates

The official Joint Finance Committee public hearings have been announced. The first hearing is this coming Friday, April 5 in Janesville. The Milwaukee area hearing will be at the Oak Creek Community Center on April 10.

How to Get Involved

The three main ways of getting involved in the budget process are 1) reaching out to your legislator with comments or suggestions 2) attending a public hearing or listening session 3) sending comments through the official JFC email -BudgetComments@legis.wisconsin.gov
