Blue Books are a wonderful resource to learn about and understand State Government. I still have a number of Blue Books available. If you would like one, please contact me and I can drop it off in person or mail it to you directly. |

I hope this brief e-newsletter finds you and your family well and that you are enjoying spring!
As you know, the debate in the State Legislature's Joint Finance Committee on Governor Walker's proposed 2015-2017 biennial budget continues. I continue to hear from many members of our community who are concerned about various provisions in the budget and requesting an update on action taken thus far. As the new Chairman of the Milwaukee Democratic Legislative Delegation I have worked with my colleagues to bring together a forum to provide you with an update on the state budget debate and what is on the horizon. I will be hosting a budget update and listening session in Milwaukee this Saturday, May 9th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Loos Room of the Milwaukee Public Library's Centennial Hall.
I am writing to invite you to this budget update and listening session. I highly encourage you to attend to register your thoughts on the budget proposal or share your thoughts with Milwaukee legislators. This is an opportunity to learn about our state budget and for your voice to be heard! I will be there and hope to see you there as well.
I have included more information about the event below. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact my office at (608) 266-0645.
