 COVID-19 Status in WI - New Cases Increasing

Wisconsin set a new single-day COVID-19 record on Saturday, July 4th with 738 new cases reported. 

On Thursday, July 2nd the Department of Health Services reported that Wisconsin has seen a recent surge in cases with half of all positive cases coming within the past five weeks.

Also on Thursday, Waukesha County health officials reported four of the five highest daily COVID-19 new case counts over the last ten days. Both Waukesha and Milwaukee counties have HIGH COVID-19 activity levels. 

Total confirmed cases in 14th Assembly District cities/counties:

• Milwaukee County: 12,396 (as of 7/6)
• Milwaukee: 9,301 (as of 7/2)
• Wauwatosa: 306
• Waukesha County: 1,412 (as of 7/6)
• Brookfield: 111 (as of 7/5)

COVID-19 is still spreading in our communities, and we must do what we can to prevent further spread:

• Stay home as much as possible
• Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth when out in public
• Keep at least 6 feet apart from people outside of your household
