Steineke: Lower Taxes, Better Schools. Pigs Can Fly.
MADISON – Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke (R-Kaukauna) released the following statement after today’s press conference on K-12 spending:
“I’m excited by the plan outlined by Assembly Republican leadership that makes historic investments in our K-12 schools. Under the proposal, not only will our schools see more state aid infused directly into our classrooms, but taxpayers will see their property taxes decrease to a level that’s even lower than today.
“Delivering an education budget that rewards our most fiscally-responsible districts is an important starting point as we continue to work with our colleagues in the Senate on passing a winning budget for Wisconsin families.”
