Representative Jim Steineke Inaugurated for Third Term - Will Continue to Proudly Serve as Representative for 5th Assembly District

Madison . . . Representative Jim Steineke (R – Kaukauna) was sworn into office for a third term as state Representative of the 5th Assembly District. He released the following statement in response:

“It is a great honor to be given the opportunity once again to serve my fellow citizens as State Representative. As your voice in Madison, I will work tirelessly to advocate on your behalf.

“My commitment to the people of the 5th Assembly District is strong. I will continue to listen to my constituents and gain their input when dealing with issues that I know will have a direct impact on them. My office is open to all who wish to share an opinion or to just ask a question, and I am available to meet together one-on-one in the District.

“A functioning government hinges on an informed and knowledgeable constituency. I will do everything I can to ensure that the residents of the 5th District and the state are aware of what is happening in Madison and equipped with the information that they deserve to know.

“I’m also grateful to serve my colleagues as Assembly Majority Leader for the 102nd Legislative Session. With 63 members, this is the largest Republican majority since 1957. Together, we are unified in our vision to keep Wisconsin a great place to live, work and retire.

“In the past four years, Republicans have initiated countless changes to alter the Wisconsin does business and the positive results just keep coming. I’m excited to lead a sixty-three strong Republican majority into even greater success.

“During the past four years, I have learned how valuable it is to have open and honest dialogue especially on issues that are contentious. Good policy can only be enacted by coming together, gaining insight from each other, and developing common goals. I believe this method is effective and expected of those elected to make decisions on behalf of our entire state.

“In the coming months, we’ll tackle some tough challenges, but I know we have a strong foundation in place to build from. It is my hope that the work we do in the next two years continues to make Wisconsin a state renowned for its quality of life, work ethic, job opportunities and strong infrastructure.

“Thank you for the opportunity to serve you here in Madison, and I look forward to another two years serving as your State Representative.”
