Steineke Statement on Retirement of Rep. Ed Brooks
MADISON – Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke (R-Kaukauna) released the following statement following Rep. Ed Brooks’ announcement that he will retire from the Wisconsin State Assembly at the end of this term:
“Ed has been not only an outstanding legislator and advocate for Wisconsin goals and priorities, but also an invaluable friend and source of wisdom here in the Assembly. His 10 years of service and dedication to his state and constituents have resulted in a better Wisconsin for everyone, and I sincerely thank him for that.
“I wish Ed all the best as he focuses on his health and family. Although his leadership and experience will be greatly missed here in Madison, I support Ed’s decision to do what he knows is best for his own well-being. We in the Assembly will continue fighting for the same priorities that Ed has in order to keep moving Wisconsin forward.”
