Representative Jim Steineke Re-Elected as Wisconsin Assembly Majority Leader
MADISON - Today, State Representative Jim Steineke (R-Kaukauna) was elected by his peers to once again serve as the Majority Leader of the Wisconsin State Assembly. This marks the start of Majority Leader Steineke's second term in this caucus leadership role.
"I'm honored to be selected by my peers to serve as the leader of our expanded majority caucus. It has been my honor to serve alongside my colleagues in this position for the past two years, and I look forward to serving in this capacity for the 103rd legislative session."
The Majority Leader serves as the chairman of the Assembly Rules committee and is responsible for scheduling votes on the floor.
"I thank my colleagues for their support and can't wait to begin working with them on furthering our conservative agenda moving forward."
Majority Leader Steineke's staff for the upcoming session includes: Rusty Schultz, chief of staff; Bob Karius, policy director and Rules Committee clerk; Michael Luckey, policy advisor; and Bonnie Deering, legislative assistant.
