Kimberly Clark Careers to Stay in Wisconsin
MADISON – Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke (R-Kaukauna) and Representative Mike Rohrkaste (R-Neenah) released the following statement in response to the news that Kimberly Clark, based in Neenah, will maintain its Wisconsin operations as a result of legislative action from earlier this year:
“We are gratified to see that the work we did in the spring to keep family-sustaining, paper industry careers right here in Wisconsin is paying off. By prioritizing Wisconsin workers, careers, and companies, we are sending a clear message that Wisconsin is, and will remain, open for business. That promise starts with stressing the importance of a multi-generational Wisconsin company like Kimberly Clark, and the hundreds of Fox Valley families its presence supports.
“Segments of the paper industry has undoubtedly faced some challenges in recent years. We look forward to working with the paper council to ensure the paper industry remains a vital part of Wisconsin’s future.
“We look forward to working with Senator Roth and providing any support he needs in order to get this approved.”
