Janesville Philanthropists Recognized as Assembly Hometown Heroes

MADISON – The Wisconsin State Assembly will recognize Bob and Nancy Kimball from Janesville, Wisconsin as “Hometown Heroes” at the upcoming Assembly session on November 7th.

The Kimballs, both realtors and commercial real estate developers, were nominated by their State Representative, Debra Kolste (D-Janesville), for their continued efforts to enhance and enrich the Janesville community. The Kimballs donated a building in downtown Janesville to be used as the Rock River Charter School. Many of the children at this school face special challenges as they continue their education. Additionally, the Kimballs erected a platform near Janesville’s downtown in a successful effort to attract Ospreys.

“Bob and Nancy Kimball exhibit all the qualities that make for a great Hometown Hero,” said Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke (R-Kaukauna), who selected the Kimballs to receive the award. “I and my colleagues in the legislature applaud their dedication to their community and neighbors.”

The Wisconsin State Assembly sees giving back to the community as one of the most valuable characteristics one can have. The Assembly Hometown Heroes program seeks to identify and recognize individuals from around the state who give of themselves to make a difference in our communities and in the lives of those around them. Hometown Hero Award winners are invited and introduced as a special guest at an Assembly floor session and given the opportunity to speak.
