Gulfstream to Expand, Add 200 Jobs and $40m Investment in Fox Valley
MADISON – Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation announced plans today to create 200 new manufacturing and support jobs and to invest $40 million in expanding its Greenville facility. Gulfstream has been an important contributor to the economy in the Appleton area, and labels this as its most significant expansion in its nearly 20 year history in the region.
“Wisconsin’s economy is roaring like a jet engine,” said Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke (R-Kaukauna). “The word is out that the Fox Valley is the place to be. We have a skilled workforce and state-level reforms have created a better environment for growth and expansion. Today’s announcement by Gulfstream means that hundreds of my neighbors and constituents will have the opportunity to find a family-supporting career right here in their home community.”
The expansion calls for a 180,000 sq. ft. facility and plans to bring Gulfstream’s employee number at Appleton International Airport above one thousand. Groundbreaking is planned for this spring, with a targeted completion date of early 2019.
