 In the District
Listening Session 3.18.19.jpg

This week, I organized  a "District Day" with my staff to ensure my entire Madison office personally spends time with the people and places in the district. We took the day to meet with constituents, businesses and other elected officials in the area. I also held my first listening session of the year. I would like to thank everyone that came out to share their thoughts and concerns on the state budget. We had a great turnout! Stay tuned for more listening sessions in the coming weeks.

I’d also like to extend a special thank you to GLC Minerals of Green Bay for the tour and educating me on the importance of the Brown County port and wonderful possibilities an expanded port facility could provide the community and economy. It was a great opportunity to learn more about a local business doing great things for Wisconsin.

 Flood Safety Awareness Week

This week was Flood Safety Awareness Week throughout the state. Flooding is one of the most devastating natural disasters Wisconsin faces each year.

2-1-1 is a comprehensive source of local and human social services that provide information all throughout the United States.  2-1-1 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  A local community resource specialist can help callers find resources and services such as: emergency information and disaster relief, services for veterans, food and nutrition programs, housing and utility assistance, support groups, addiction prevention and rehabilitation, re-entry help for ex-offenders, and a safe, confidential path out of domestic abuse.  Residents can also go to www.211.org  for more information.
