Reading Readiness Legislation
Earlier this week, the state Assembly passed my bipartisan legislation that ensures schools have the framework and tools they need to help all our students learn to read proficiently.

Birth Control Bill
I am pleased that the state Assembly also passed my bipartisan bill that gives women more reproductive healthcare options by allowing pharmacists to prescribe certain contraceptives.

First Responder of the Year
It was my honor to recognize Mike Neal as the First Responder of the Year for the 1st Assembly District during this week’s Assembly floor session.
Mike has served as a conservation warden for nearly three decades and has saved numerous lives in the waters of Door County over the years.
