Sharing Coffee With Constituents!

When I'm in the district, I like to take the time to grab some coffee and catch up with constituents about all the topics that effect both our local community and the state of Wisconsin.  If there are any coffee groups within our district that would be interested in meeting with me, please feel free to reach out to my office, 608-266-5350, as I would be happy to drop in for your next meeting.

Wisconsin Conservation Congress Spring Hearings

I would like to encourage everyone to participate in the 2018 Wisconsin Conservation Congress Spring Hearing questionnaire, which is available online

Each county will host a public hearing at 1:30pm on Monday, April 9 where individuals interested in natural resources management will have an opportunity to provide their input on local and statewide conservation issues.  These public hearings are a wonderful way for our community to stay engaged and be a part of a decision making process that effects us all.

Door County Public Hearing:

Sturgeon Bay High School, Commons, 1230 Michigan Street, Sturgeon Bay, WI

Kewaunee County Public Hearing:

Kewaunee High School, 911 3rd Street, Kewaunee, WI

Celebrating International Women's Day

We celebrated International Women's Day this week at the Capitol, and I would like to take this opportunity to further highlight some of the female leaders within the Assembly who do such an amazing job representing their respective districts.

To hear about their role models, why it's important to have a female voice in the legislature, and what advice they have for young women today, watch their video by clicking on the picture above!

Daylight Savings Time Begins

Daylight savings time begins at 2:00am on Sunday, March 11 this year, so don't forget to set your clock ahead an hour Saturday night.

Formally enacted by Congress on March 19, 1918, to conserve power during the first world war, Daylight Savings Time (DST) seems to have always been a little controversial.  For some interesting facts on DST in the United States, as well as how we compare with other nations, I invite you to check out the insightful DST information page at webexhibit.org.
