Gibraltar Elementary Named Title I School
This past
Monday in the State Capitol, Gibraltar Elementary joined 177 other
schools from around the state in being recognized as a
Wisconsin Title I School of Recognition. This award highlights
schools in Wisconsin that successfully educate students from low-income
families.
Our district is blessed to have such caring and dedicated
educators who work selflessly to make sure every child gets the
education they deserve, regardless of their family's financial situation. Education is one of, if
not the most, important things we can give a child. It's vital that
we continue to honor and acknowledge those who provide that crucial
knowledge. For more information on Title I Schools, please click

Budget
Updates
As we move through the process of
crafting the state budget, I promised that I would keep you all in the
loop on what is going on down here at the Capitol. I filmed a short
video in which I discuss some recent updates and highlight some of the
budget motions I have been working on.

Kewaunee Persons of the Year
Earlier this week, I was fortunate enough
to attend the Kewaunee Rotary Club's Persons of the Year Award Banquet.
Each year, the Rotary Club honors individuals who go
above and beyond in dedicating their time and energy to the betterment
of their community. This year's 'Persons of the Year' are Tim and Karen
Treml. Tim is the President of the Bank of Luxemburg and Karen is the
Superintendent for the Kewaunee School District. Tim and Karen are involved in a multitude of local organizations
and charities such as Kewaunee Club Buy Local, the Luxemburg Chamber of
Commerce, Kewaunee Optimists and a variety of other clubs. Karen and Tim
mentioned that they feel privileged to be able to give back to a
community that has given them so much and I can honestly say that I feel
privileged to have them as my constituents.
The Tremls are pictured here with
Rotary President Jeff Kleiman. Congratulations!
